Introduction
PragerU is an American conservative advocacy group and media organization founded in 2009 by Allen Estrin and Dennis Prager. While its name suggests an academic institution, it does not confer degrees and is not affiliated with a university. Instead, PragerU creates content on political, economic, and sociological topics, primarily through short videos with the intent of promoting classical liberal and conservative ideas in an accessible format.
History

The organization is headquartered in Los Angeles, California, and has approximately 50 employees. Marissa Streit serves as the CEO and has presented some of PragerU’s videos. PragerU encourages students to join “PragerFORCE,” an international student organization dedicated to promoting PragerU’s videos and ideology. The organization reached a milestone of one billion views in 2018.
In addition to their main content, PragerU launched a program called PragerU Resources for Educators and Parents (PREP) in 2020, aiming to bring their messaging to kindergarten and school-aged children. They later branded their school-age targeted content as PragerU Kids.
Content
The organization’s YouTube channel, as of February 2023, includes 2,200 videos. The organization features guest presenters from various segments of the political right.
